SIRANN HANSEN
SONDRE SÆTABERGET
TOR-EIVIND SOLHEIM
Ideofon is a band from the cold reaches of Tromsø, Norway, far past the Arctic Circle. Their music blends catchy melodies with expansive soundscapes and creative instrumentation, creating a sound of their very own. Askil’s falsetto vocals intertwine with his intricate basslines, while Tor-Eivind’s rock-solid drums provide the foundation for Sirann’s cinematic keys and Sondre’s ambient guitar lines to shine.
Their live shows are intimate, fun, and human, yet incredibly dynamic. Gentle ballads can suddenly erupt into full-blown orchestral crashes, and experimental sounds often evolve into groovy, catchy choruses. Some of Ideofon’s live highlights so far include the festival Hagefestn and the opening ceremony for the University of Tromsø. They are currently set to embark on their first tour in October, taking their show on the road to Narvik, Bodø and Alta.
Having released their debut album Finder’s Keep in late 2024, they are now set to release their new song Misadventures in Broadcasting on October 16th. The song — and their upcoming EP The Alps — marks a major step up for the band, taking their sound to even higher mountaintops and deeper oceans.
Their producer is Kevin Skaggs, (originally from Los Angeles, now based in Kraków) who has worked with artists like Giorgio Moroder, Lady Gaga, and Tony Bennett over his 20+ year career.
Ideofon’s manager and PR agent Nichole Good is based in Los Angeles and has worked with major names like Weezer, OK Go, Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Tom Petty, and Metric.
Ideofon is represented by Incubate Talent Group.
